This qualification allows NSW approved Electricians to go to the next step in their career. It covers competencies to select, install, commission, fault find and maintain electrical systems and equipment with options, typically in explosion protection; electrical machines; electrical inspection; safety auditing; contracting; lifts and energy supply/distribution.

The entry requirement for this qualification is:
• UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
or
• a current ‘Unrestricted Electricians Licence’ or its equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory.
The qualification is made up of a total of 440 weighting points comprising:
• 120 core weighting points delivered throughout the 4 core units; plus
• 320 general elective weighting points delivered through the 5 elective units
All students enrolled in this qualification will undertake practical exercises and laboratory work.
